Ksenia Kuristik is an Estonia-based illustrator working across editorial and lifestyle illustration. Her work captures the quiet poetry of everyday life — simple objects, gentle moods, and subtle colour harmonies. Combining digital and traditional media, Ksenia explores composition, rhythm, and texture to create imagery that feels tactile, emotional, and human.

editorial
I collaborated with PLUG Magazine, an independent Estonian publication, on several editorial projects — including illustrations and layout support for feature articles and a cover design.
My work included developing the visual concept for an article about Vladimir Nabokov’s butterflies, contributing illustrations for a piece on the local music group Sonic Death, and creating the cover art for Issue No. 48.
In this collaboration, I was responsible for shaping the visual direction, aligning imagery with the editorial tone, and assisting with layout and composition to ensure a cohesive visual narrative across the issue.

Cold-pressed 100% cotton watercolour paper (300gsm), professional-grade watercolours (Nevskaya Palytra), and fine liner pens for detailed work.
I love the unpredictability and texture of traditional media — the way pigment flows, settles, and occasionally surprises you. Each piece is carefully hand-painted, making every artwork completely unique.
My go-to tools: paper, cotton canvases, and pencils
